Why do we and our partners schedule and host free wash days?

Free wash days, better known as Laundry Love projects, or LLP, are intended to provide some of the most fundamental services to those in need of the services. Let’s face it, we all have fallen on difficult times at some point or another at some point in our lives. At times, we may have found ourselves on the receiving end of random acts of kindness of friends, relatives, employers, or our Church. We may also have been at the receiving end of an organized effort to identify those in need in areas where local business owners and faith-based outreach organizations designed to do just that. That is, identify areas in and around our communities where we do business to help not only regular customers, but also reach out to those that might otherwise might not have the resources to use our facilities for one reason or another. It is also about social responsibility, or lending a hand.

We are proud to be associated with the Current.org organization in hosting these LLP events. Having completed our first in Tarpon Springs and the second at our 5th Avenue location in Saint Petersburg. There are two more events scheduled for our South Dale Mabry location on August 18th, and another to follow in September again at our Tarpon Springs location.

A huge thanks to all the organizers at Current, volunteers, sponsors, and those that donate supplies. These highly organized and selfless efforts are much appreciated by many.
